Today’s Tip: 3 Tips to define your brows.
Yes, that’s me up the top there without eyebrows. OK, clearly it isn’t really me without eyebrows, I have them, but it’s me before I used to get my eyebrows professionally waxed, tinted and lined them every day.
It’s me before I knew about the importance of eyebrows. Pretty embarrassing picture to post, I look exceptionally weird, but I’m showing it to you to make a point – you need to invest in your brows!
Here are my 3 tips to go from that picture to today.
1. Visit a professional
If you can afford to get them professionally waxed regularly, do it, but if you can’t I recommend growing them out as bushy as you can and getting them waxed once so you have a line you can follow for keeping them tidy yourself.
2. Don’t over pluck
Keep your brows as thick as you can. They don’t need to get to 80s Brooke Shields big and out of control, but as long as they’re tidy and well groomed, the bigger the better. No one looks good with an overly thin brow.
Already overplucked? Try putting vasoline on them every night before you go to sleep to encourage hair growth.
3. Line, Tint or Shade
Fill in those brows! We can all benefit from a little extra colour in many areas and our brows are no exception.
Here’s a fantastic tutorial I found on Pinterest for how to line your brows, unfortunately the original source seems to have been banned.
The best way to line your brows with a pencil is to follow the line of the hairs and draw little flicks to simulate hairs.
Whatever you choose to do, ensure those brows are working to your advantage and framing your face.
