Have you ever been forced to put your money where your mouth is? Monique, Maree & I were recently forced to do just that as Maree was nominated to do the ALS (MND) Ice Bucket Challenge and, after us running this post from Monique in support of the ice bucket challenge, she decided it would be a good idea to nominate me and share the videos on the site.
So I did what any responsible Editor in Chief would do — I completed the challenge, donated to MND Australia, then I nominated the person who wrote the post causing me to partake in this act of craziness.
After all, as Monique said:
“In the case of MND, any awareness is great and donations are even better. The more people who know about this disease and donate money to finding more effective treatment and a cure, the better.”
I’ve mentioned many times that my thermostat is broken and I feel the cold. So, as I write this, I am sitting wrapped up in my wizard gown (long story) on the couch in my Cookie Monster PJs with bed socks on. I’m getting the chills just remembering what it was like to do this challenge.
Please keep my thermostat in mind when watching these videos, largely because I am a lot more of a wuss than these other amazing women. I am so proud to run this site with other people who are as crazy as I am, and as passionate as I am about helping .
Without further ado: the videos.

Did you to the ice bucket challenge? Did you donate? Did you laugh watching our videos?
