Do you ever come across people who randomly pop up in your life and consistently surprise and inspire you?  Tim Minchin does that for me.  I’m not an avid follower of his career, but whenever I spot him on the telly I end up rooted to the spot. Today, the 2012 Global Atheist Convention commenced in Melbourne. It is one of the largest annual gatherings of atheists and sceptics in the world. I really wish I could have been there, but that would have involved travelling, spending money and being away from my partner R, three things I’m not good at. Well, two things.
