Magazines used to represent to me, as a teenager, everything I loved about journalism. I had the sale dates of Girlfriend and Dolly, then Cosmopolitan and Cleo,on my calendar until my early 20s. The excitement I used to feel as I saw this month’s cover girl was something I wish I could’ve bottled, especially when I lose inspiration to write or feel like I have no idea what the hell I’m going to write each week.
