“Call Me Maybe” by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen has been topping the charts, (reaching #1 in Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and the UK, as well as making the Top 10 in the US), it was only natural that parodies would start to emerge.

Fitzy and Wippa from Nova FM could be Australia’s answer to Weird Al Yankovich when it comes to parodying songs. They take on all the big hits, most recently covering One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” to become “What Makes Us Really Cool”. They are also quite politically aware and have done “There’s Faceless Men” song with Kevin Rudd.

So with the rising popularity of “Call Me Maybe”, the boys decided to create an Aussie bloke’s version.
