It was exactly what I needed. I’m a 24 year old, living with my parents. I have a masters degree but really no career prospects. I have the dream of being a writer but no short term plan for earning.

I just feel like all the people I know who are my age have lived out of home, are getting married and I am stuck at home looking for jobs and aiming for a very distant dream. I always knew I was going to be a late bloomer in the romance area but I really thought I would have career by 25.

I guess I just need to keep searching and one day it will ‘click.’

I’m definitely floating at the moment. I want to travel a lot more and work on my career. I’m not sure I want to get married but some days I’d like to be in a relationship and other days I’m thankful I’m not. I’m worried I’ll never really know when I’m ready to meet someone who means more to me than just sex or companionship.

I’ve overcommitted myself in the past and I don’t want to let anyone down so it’s probably a good thing I’m single for the time being!

I broke up with my partner at 24… I felt myself being pulled in another direction. I was miserable this time last year and suddenly a year later things have a funny way of working out. I’m feeling very content lately like something small has clicked as I approach my late 20′s.

I remember you talking about your quarter life crisis and that’s just what it is!
